The relevance of Jesus in today's world
After Kuthula was born, her mother had suspected there might be something wrong with her. Unlike normal babies, from the age of 10 months, her limbs would constantly swell and she would appear unusually puffy. It was until she ( Kuthula ) was 19 years old, when she was diagnosed to be suffering from kidney stones after many years of an untiring quest to discover what was wrong. In 2006, Kuthula, then 26, had undergone operations after operations, doctor were still amiss to why her kidney was producing many stones; in October of that year alone, 25 stones were removed. It seemed to be an hopeless situation.
Then she heard about a Healing School where many from all over the world have been healed and she made up her mind to attend. After series of teaching from the word of God, she knew God could turn her hopeless situation around. She received her healing when the man of God prayed for her and she has stayed healed since then. Every time I read about miracles performed by God through great men and women of our days, I have a glimpse into the personality of God and how much he loves everyone in spite of our imperfections and he would respond to the most child-like faith ever.
For instance, there was a woman who tore out pages out of the Bible and use it to wipe her baby's buttocks, which were covered with a skin disease, in obedience to a pastor who told her to clean the baby with the word of God, which of course meant the spoken word. But she responded according to her understanding of that phrase but the child got healed anyway. The name of Jesus is definitely relevant in today's world, many have been made free of diseases, addictions, penury, unforgiveness and so many problems.
