God Says, "I'm About to Kiss Many of My Children"

This word by Al Thomas is a timely one for today. As we hear God's voice, no matter our age, may we realize His love for us in a new way. Listen as God speaks through Al Thomas about God kissing each of us, age is not a barrier, we are all His children.

Al Thomas: God's Says, "I'm About to Kiss Many of My Children"

I was thinking about Valentine's Day when I heard God whisper, "I'm about to kiss many of My children." When we allow someone to touch our mouth, we are saying, "I trust this person well enough to become intimate with them."

We are fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14), and although every part of our body is important, the mouth is extremely so. The mouth (on the outside) is made up of two lips—the lower and the upper. Both lips are soft, usually protruding, always movable, and serve for food intake and in articulation of speech.

Most know that the Old Testament prophets fall into two categories: Major and Minor. The Minor Prophets—Hosea, Amos, Jonah, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, etc—are called Minor Prophets because of the length of their writings, not because they were any less important. There are twelve Minor Prophets and there are four Major Prophets: Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Daniel.

I do not believe they are Major Prophets simply because of the length of their writings. There was something else that few notice. These four Major Prophets experienced one unusual thing that none of the Minor Prophets did, and it is important to see: all four Major Prophets had their lips touched by God.

Jeremiah

When Jeremiah was a young boy, God called him to be a mouthpiece for Him. Jeremiah was frightened and discouraged, so God touched his lips (see Jeremiah 1:6). He was afraid no longer. God's kiss removes all fear (see Numbers 14:9). You don't let someone get close enough to kiss you unless you have total trust in them. You can trust God (see 1 Timothy 4:10), and He is always in a kissing mood.

I see God calling the "wee ones" into close relationship - with a tender kiss. It was like the kiss that a father gives a young child, innocent and pure. Many children will be called - with a kiss from Heaven (see Matthew 19:14).

Isaiah

When Isaiah was a teenager God also called him to be a spokesman. Immediately, Isaiah felt unworthy and God used the seraphim to touch Isaiah's lips with a coal from the throne of God (see Isaiah 6:5-7). He no longer felt unclean.

God's kisses cleanse us from condemnation and free us from the bondage of feeling unworthy (see Romans 8:1). The Blood of Jesus was like the Father's kiss to you. God is longing to be in deep relationship with you. He even has a ring for you to make it official (see Luke 15:22). I see this especially with teenagers right now, even as Isaiah was touched by God as a teenager.

I see God touching teenagers in such a way that they suddenly won't want to play computers games anymore, but seek to get serious with God. I see many teenagers answering God's call...because of a kiss. And this is not "puppy love," but a lifelong, eternal love affair.

Ezekiel

When Ezekiel was middle aged God called him and he was given a scroll and instructed to eat it (see Ezekiel 3:1-3). He ate it as it passed through his lips. Ezekiel served God in a hard place and he needed courage. After kissing God he kept going no matter what.

I see an upsurge of middle-aged people wanting God's word to pass through their lips into their spirit. I sense many people will be gorging on God's Word like it's a buffet and (oddly enough) they seem to dwell on the "meat section" and not the "junk food" area (see Hebrews 5:14). They won't settle for any kind of meat, they want the best heavenly top sirloin. They want to go deep and are sick of fluff on the surface.

I see middle-aged men and women, who have grown weary serving God, now rushing to the buffet, pushing people away from the dessert area so they could get to the "real meat" of the word. Some people who didn't understand them were staring because pieces of scroll seemed to be dangling from the lips of those in the meat section. I see scrolls falling from Heaven and people desperately grappling to get one.

Look up, something is falling from Heaven.

Daniel

When Daniel was an older man, he almost fainted because of the intense visions he was experiencing. God touched his lips and he recovered enough to go on (see Daniel 10:16). Kissing (intimacy) seems to revive us and make us want to keep going. I saw aged saints (thinking that their time of usefulness was drawing to an end) suddenly get amorous with God. Many of them discerned that the Father was trying to renew a relationship that had grown cold over the years.

It was like an old lover had returned and they had restarted a romance that was sizzling again. They started to act differently, think differently. They felt young and "in love" with God again (see Revelation 2:4). Some of their friends said they were silly and should act their age, but these older saints simply ignored them and allowed God to kiss them more so (see Matthew 5:6).

A full-fledged heavenly romance is about to be manifested in the Church.

Obama Say Hear God No Matter Your Faith

CBNNews.com - WASHINGTON - Hours before officially establishing a new faith-based initiatives office Thursday, President Barack Obama reminded thousands of attendees at the National Prayer Breakfast about the importance of the Golden Rule.

"There is one law that binds all great religions together," Obama told the thousands of attendees, including several world leaders and hundreds of members of Congress. "Jesus told us to "love thy neighbor as thyself."

Obama cited similar references found in the Torah, the Koran, and in other major world religions.

"It is, of course, the Golden Rule - the call to love one another;" the President said. "To understand one another; to treat with dignity and respect those with whom we share a brief moment on this Earth."

Obama said the ancient rule requires a living, breathing, active faith.

"It requires us not only to believe, but to do - to give something of ourselves for the benefit of others and the betterment of our world," he said.

"Instead of driving us apart, our varied beliefs can bring us together to feed the hungry and comfort the afflicted," Obama reasoned, "to make peace where there is strife and rebuild what has broken; to lift up those who have fallen on hard times."

"This is not only our call as people of faith, but our duty as citizens of America," he reminded.

New Faith-Based White House Office Created

Later Thursday, Obama formalized the new White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships though an executive order. CBNNews.com first reported on this plan Wednesday.

The signed order says the new office will work with organizations "no matter their religious or political beliefs." Obama also stressed at the prayer breakfast that it would not favor one religion over another and would maintain the separation of church and state.

"This work is important because whether it's a secular group advising families facing foreclosure, or faith-based groups providing job-training to those who need work, few are closer to what's happening on our streets and in our neighborhoods than these organizations," the President said.

"People trust them," he said. "Communities rely on them. And we will help them."

Keynote Address by Tony Blair

Earlier former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who was the breakfast's keynote speaker, addressed those in attendance.

While saluting Obama, he reminded the audience that President's hard work has now begun and he needs the support and the help of everyone.

"We don't need cheerleaders, but partners," Blair said. "Not spectators, but supporters."

In his prepared remarks, Blair said faith itself will not be so easily defined in order to exude others or do evil.

"For billions of people, faith motivates, galvanizes, compells and inspires," he explained. "Not to exclude, but to embrace. Not to provoke conflict, but to try to do good."

"This is faith in action and you can see it in countless local communities," Blair said. "Where those from churches, mosques, synagogues and temples tend the sick, care for the afflicted, work long hours in bad conditions to bring hope to the despairing and salvation to the lost."

The former British prime minister also recalled an early spiritual moment in his life. His father, an atheist, was seriously ill. As Blair and a teacher knelt to pray, Blair told the teacher his father didn't believe in God. "'That doesn't matter,' my teacher replied, God believes in him,' " Blair said.

The breakfast was held at the Washington Hilton hotel, and also featured the Christian band Casting Crowns, Bible readings, and prayers by members of the House and Senate.

The National Prayer Breakfast is held annually in Washington, D.C. on the first Thursday in February. The event began in 1953 and was founded by Frank Carlson, a former congressman, governor, and senator from Kansas.

Intentional on God

As we attempt to hear God talking to each one of us, this word today illustrates another one of our requirements to be able to hear His voice.

We must be intentional, purposeful, with intent - about the things of God. "... Our foundation must be steadfast on the solid Rock and Chief Cornerstone, and when that is secure, we will act and not react when shifting circumstances occur in our lives..."

Cindy McGill: "We Must Be Intentional About the Things of God"

There seems to be some things God is directing us to pay close attention to. As times and seasons shift, we have a tendency to be anxious in our efforts to find clear direction. There are many things that would capture our attention and take us off on rabbit trails, going down paths that seem good, but we lose sight of the real focus which is Jesus. Our foundation must be steadfast on the solid Rock and Chief Cornerstone, and when that is secure, we will act and not react when shifting circumstances occur in our lives.

"This is what the Almighty LORD says: I am going to lay a rock in Zion, a rock that has been tested, a precious cornerstone, a solid foundation. Whoever believes [in Him] will not worry." Isaiah 28:16

We Must Be Intentional About Our Love

Our first heart tug is to love the Lord with all of our heart. This is elementary. If we first love the Lord, then other things won't capture our attention and uproot our anchor. From this place, every other thing flows. We cannot love others if we do not know how to love God. As we are intentional about learning to love God and spend time with Him, He instructs us and transforms our hearts to beat with His.

Many things are revealed to us when our focus on Him is first. Things become very clear and defined. When we submit to God, we can then resist the devil and he will run away from us (see James 4:7). The plans of the devil will not work out when our lives are submitted to God who is love and we are clearly handed the victory.

Secondly, we are to be intentional about our love for each other. When we purpose to love each other, it reflects the love of God to a world who is watching. It is the very DNA of the Kingdom of God.

We Must Be Intentional About Our Walk

We must be determined to walk the walk of faith. It is a most certain path that is ordered, bringing us into the very plan of God. We must train our eyes to see what God sees, our mouths to say what God says, our actions to do what God does and live a determined life of honor and preferring someone over ourselves.

Galatians 5:16 tells us that if we walk in the Spirit, we won't carry out the desire of the flesh. When things come up in our lives, we can learn to get God's view on the situation. We can ask God what He thinks and what His plan is for the very thing we are dealing with. We learn to live by the Spirit and not by the things we see. A focused, determined walk will give us open doors, increased anointing, favor, clear direction and make us visible lights in a dark world.

We Must Be Intentional About Our Prayers

Declarations have power. When we pray, believing what we pray with expectancy, God honors our prayers and He answers. Faith-filled prayers that line up with God's Word and plan can bring radical change to situations. God actually looks for these kind of prayers.

Second Chronicles 16:9 says, "For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His."

The authority Jesus gave us, when used in prayer, is unmatched in its transformational power. Spoken, declarative, faith-filled words have creative power. Power to heal, deliver, resurrect, loose, bind, create, prophesy and provide avenues for God's will to be done here on earth like in Heaven. Glory and heavenly manifestations accompany such prayers.

We Must Be Intentional About Our Unity

We must choose to gather ourselves together in unity to pray, eat together, share truths, worship and live our lives. The early Church did this very thing in Acts 2:41-47, and God did mighty signs and wonders in their midst and added to the Church daily those who were being saved.

"So then, those who had received His word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.

"And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved." Acts 2:41-47

It is refreshing when we can all live together in unity of heart and spirit. When we can let down the walls, drop offenses, and choose a heart of gladness and simplicity. The whole atmosphere changes when tensions cease and we choose to love each other. The fact is, none of us know it all. Only God knows it all, and when we humble ourselves and come together in unity, it creates an atmosphere where God will command His blessing (see Psalm 133).

We Must Be Intentional About Our Worship

We are created to worship. Our spirits cry out to worship the One who is so worthy to be worshipped. As we enter a worship time, if we will prepare our hearts to fully surrender to the Lord in worship, our lives are transformed with revelation light. Our worship is breath to God and it is where He chooses to make His address (see Psalm 22).

When we worship God with all of our hearts, it is revolutionary. Divine exchanges take place and our hearts are softened and healed. Anger, bitterness, hurt, depression and the like have to leave when we are in a place of true worship. Deep calls unto deep and our spirits connect with the Holy Spirit. We discover more clearly what we are designed for and our love for Him increases as He pours His love back on us.

Worship is essential for growth in God and our spiritual walk. To the degree we fully abandon ourselves to worship God, we find true freedom from all kinds of heaviness and bondages that try and keep us imprisoned. Someone once said, "We become like the thing we worship." Let's worship God and become like Him.

We Must Be Intentional To Live in the Peace of God

The God of peace crushes satan beneath our feet (see Romans 16:20). Peace will lead us and guide us safely. The only real peace we have is our assurance that God is in complete control. God said He would keep us in perfect peace when our minds are fixed on Him (see Isaiah 26:3). Peace is a major weapon of our warfare. Being anxious for nothing, we can fully trust that God who started a work in us is certainly able to complete it (see Philippians 1:6).

"Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

These may be uncertain times, but God is with us and on our side. There are more with us than those who are against us. If God is for us and fights our battles, then we don't need to fight the torment of fear. Staying in peace and trust delivers a great relief and allows us to keep our focus.

There is much to do in the days ahead. It's truly the Church's finest hour. People are searching for answers and we possess the ANSWER, Jesus. Prodigals returning, people coming to know the Lord, healings, signs, wonders, fresh revelation, mysteries being revealed, new visitations from Heaven are all a part of the coming days.

Let's remain INTENTIONAL in purpose as these new days approach.
